Carpet Installation
Rest assured, if your carpet is purchased at Van's, your installation will be handled by a professional installation crew. Our carpet installers average over 20 years of experience. The installation process will begin with Van's sending a flooring specialist to your home to measure your rooms to minimize carpet waste and determine proper seam location. Detailed drawings with seam locations are made for your inspection and approval.
On the day of installation, please have all furniture and breakables removed from the rooms getting carpet. Our installers will be happy to move your furniture if specified at the time of measure. We will remove and dispose of your old flooring, sweep and prep the sub floor, and install your new carpet and cushion according to best practices and industry standards. Our installers use carpet stretchers to ensure proper carpet tautness. The room will be swept and all tools and debris removed.
Please feel free to address any installation concerns with your salesperson, or the flooring specialist doing the measure, at any point during the process. Most importantly, sit back and relax... We've got this! Your new carpet is going to look amazing!

Carpet Care & Maintenance
You've made a great investment by choosing carpet from Van's. Your new carpet will last for years, and with the proper care and maintenance, you'll be able to keep it looking new and extend its life. Here are a few tips to help keep your carpet looking great:
- Vacuum regularly to prevent soil from embedding into the pile. Refer to your salesperson or warranty papers for recommended vacuums for your type of carpet.
- Consider professionally cleaning your carpet every 12-18 months. This will keep your carpet fresh and protect your warranty.
- Treat stains immediately. Use water and blot stain with a clean towel. Do not scrub. Use detergent sparingly and only if necessary. Only use spot removal solvent approved by the Carpet and Rug institute of America.
- Use scissors to clip spouts or snags. Do not pull them, as this could damage the carpet.
- Remove heavy furniture dents by stroking the dented area with the edge of a coin.
- Refer to your warranty papers for additional information specific to your carpet.
